Education Support

We work alongside Virtual School Heads, EHCP teams, and education providers to keep young people in learning.

Education is a protective factor

For young people in care, school is rarely just about academic attainment. It is routine, identity, peer connection, and a sense of progress. We treat education as one of the most important protective factors in a young person’s life, and we work hard to keep them engaged with it.

Our role is not to deliver education; we are not a registered school. Our role is to make education work for the young person we care for, by partnering effectively with the people and systems around them.

* What we do *

Liaise with the placing authority’s Virtual School Head from the day of referral

Support enrolment, attendance, transport, and engagement at the agreed education setting

Coordinate EHCP reviews, Personal Education Plan meetings, and TAC meetings

Provide a quiet study and sensory room in our outbuilding for homework and learning

Build positive relationships with designated teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral leads

Support re-engagement plans where a young person is not currently in education
